Food Literacy [fu: d lit-er-uh-see]
noun: Understanding the impact of your food choices on your health,
the environment, and our economy.
Project Fresh aims to inform the public about the story of our food from farm to table and back to the soil. We believe being food literate empowers us to make informed, healthy choices. Because we know traditional nutrition education does not result in sustainable behavior or attitude changes, our programs provide information and tools that are relevant and integrated into participants' daily lives inspiring them to adopt healthier habits.
